UFOs in Crépy-en-Valois
On Saturday 26 June, Akacia created not only an event but also an encounter of the third kind.
It wasn’t the electric and perfectly orchestrated atmosphere, the sound of furious rhythms or the gigantic games at this private festival in Crépy-en-Valois, which could have been confused with paranormal activity, but instead the vision of…flying lanterns!
The famous festival of light, which originated in Thailand, involves lighting small lanterns similar to mini hot-air balloons. These lanterns consist of small squares that are lit, inflate a paper structure and end up taking off and burning in the sky.
Gliding through the sky of Crépy, these small balls of light dominated the sky and were spotted by locals who mistook them for UFOs! The town hall, the authorities et the media were informed of these supernatural goings-on, with Akacia ending up featuring on two front pages of the weekly regional publication Oise Hebdo at the beginning of July.
